Internet Safety

While browsing the internet, it is important to remember that it is possible for others (including abusers) to track your online activity. Your browser automatically logs all web addresses visited in its history. Additionally, temporary files and cookies are often stored on your computers. Your history, temporary files, and cookies can be erased by following the steps provided below.

Pee Dee Coalition recommends accessing the internet through a computer the abuser does not have access to such as public computers. If you do make the choice, however, to browse the internet on a computer to which the abuser does have access, there are steps you can take to prevent him or her from tracking your activity.
